The Jerseys showed a lot of character by coming back after trailing 5-2. The biggest surprise was the appearance of Rolando Quintanilla not only on the mound but going the full 7 innings for the first time this year in relief of Rey Guerra who had a bad start tonight.
It just seems that someone always steps up for this team this year. MIke Gonzalez extends his hitting streak to 20 games and the Jerseys advance to the Regional Quarterfinals against the winner of Hebbronville and La Vernia.
