Gilbert "Grandpa" Hinojosa behind the plate gave one of the guttsiest performance of any Jersey player I had seen in a long time. Gilbert, suffering from a stomach virus and throwing up after every inning, refused to come out of the game. He told me, "Don't take me out, Coach, I've led this team all year and I am not stopping now." That's what Jersey Baseball Pride is all about.
Jerseys reached team goal #2, which was to win 20 games. There is only one goal left to accomplish and that is getting to Austin. This trip begins this week TBA.
