From the Coach: This win was a special one since it was number 250th at Fal High for Coach Guerra and myself. We have had quite a ride from 1989 to now and it made us realize how time had past us by and how time flies by when you're having fun doing what you love to do and where you do it at makes it even more enjoyable. Thanks to all my players, parents, fans, administration, and most importantly God. We're not done yet.

"The up and coming Longhorns gave the Jeresys all they could handle. Again the inconsistency on defense allowed the Horns to stick around and make it quite a game with Albert Gonzalez, Keoki Guerra, and Mike Gonzalez making plays of the night when George West had runners in scoring postion in the 6th and 7th.
Jerseys will open the 2000 Falfurrias Inviational Tournament at 9:00 a.m. vs. Ingleside this Thursday.

Mr. Pulido,

What a difference a day makes and a difference experienced players make. The return of Carlos Villarreal, Brian Boerjan, Jason Cates, and Jaime Ruelas was a big uplift for our ball club.

Notes: Brian Boerjan got his release on Friday and pitched two innings without pain - which was great news. Carlos Villarreal controlled the outfield like years past and Jason Cates returned to 1st base to add quickness to an already quick one with the move of Keoki Guerra to third base.

Jersey fans got a glimpse of what is to come defensively and offensively. Next game will be Monday at Jersey Field at 7:00 pm vs. 32-4A Champion Edcouch-Elsa.

Thanks for what you do with your web site for everyone that has anything to do with Jersey Baseball. It was nice to get the first victory - now let's put a streak together.

Because of grades and injuries, we are not quite sure where we want to be right now, but tomorrow we get a few kids back so let's see what happens. Our outfield is very inexperienced and not having Carlos (Villarreal) and Brian (Boerjan) pitching really hurt us. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow.
