After that we had a steady amount of hits every inning. The big key tonight was Homer Villarreal pitching a complete game and leaving all the rest of our arms for the next two games if needed.

Salinas bunt single. Trey Garcia's single brought him home and the rest is history. Josh Cosby pitched 5 tough innings in 103 degrees. Bob Gomez threw without pain and Mario Chavera continues to be the set up man. Well, our hats go off to this team for winning our 7th straight Bi-District Championship. Our next opponent is no stranger to Jersey baseball, they are no other than the Sinton Pirates. Game 1 is Wednesday in Sinton and Game 2 and 3 are in Fal on Saturday. Sinton is currently ranked #2 in the state. Our kids look forward to the challenge. Again, congratulations to our Fightin' Jerseys 2002 version - Bi-District Champs!
