Winning Pitcher: Bobby Gomez
Leading Hitters: Josh Cosby

From the Coach: This game was moved to 5:30 instead of 7:00 due to the cold weather. The temperature was in the low 40s with wind chill around 38. It was a well played game considering the weather and one can not forget the great job both pitchers did. The winning run came in on a throwing error with two outs in the 5th. Trey Garcia had reached 1st on an error. Advanced to third on 2 pass balls and then scored on hard shot hit by Josh Cosby which the third baseman made a good stab at it but had to hurry his throw once he found the ball. Hey a win is a win, especially in these conditions.

From the Coach: Great game between 2 area rivals. It was a shame only one team could advance to the championship. In this case riviera advanced virtue a coin flip. Riviera had earlier also tied Harlingen 3-3 and advanced to play us on a coin flip also. If I were their coach I'd go buy some lottery tickets.
