From the Coach: Wow, what a
win! I wish I had the chance to sit back to relax and watch this
team play. This group plays very well together and you add Bobby
Gomez to the mix and you're pretty good. We beat a very talented
Bandera team that was batting nearly .400 as a team. Bobby Gomez'
performance made a big statement why he is one of the best left
handers in the state. Our kids were focused and confident. Well,
what can I say, we are one game away from Austin. We now play
the defending state champs the Sinton Pirates. I knew
the road to Austin had to go through Sinton. We will play Thursday
or Thursday and Saturday depending on what type of series we
play. The game is scheduled to be played at Aviator Field in
Robstown. I can't say enough about our team, they just don't
know any better. They play hard and have fun! Winning 25 games
and being crowned Regional Semi-Final Champs isn't so bad but
a trip to Austin would be even nicer. Again, congratulations
Big Green. You are now one of eight 3-A schools left in the State
of Texas!
