Comments: Sinton vs. Fal did not disappoint the fans as it took 8 innings to get a winner. We made every runner we got on base count and Sinton could not get a big hit til the 6th. Gilbert did not have his best stuff tonight but he gave us 5 1/3 innings and allowed Ruben to throw only 40 pitches and basicly saves him to throw again if needed. This was a critical win because it gives us the opportunity to win one out of two games and Jason Garcia can be available for either game now. Our kids can taste success now. It is only 21 outs away but we will get one big challenge from Sinton tomorrow. Thanks to the Jersey Nation for supporting us tonight, we'll need you tomorrow

Comments: Roundrock here we come. What a series. After 13 years of frustration and many heartbreakers, we're back where we need to be. Our kids came into the game refocused and energized by our crowd. We had lost momentum after the taking a commanding 4 run lead in the first inning in game 2 on Thursday. Sinton came storming back and almost took game 2 away from us. Jason and Ruben did an outstanding job on the mound and our defense was errorless again. David Munoz and the rest of the team did an outstanding job of executing the bunt and slash. With this win we get our chance to show off our fans to the state of Texas. Our fans are our 10th man. Roundrock will be invaded by the Jersey Nation on Wednesday. This win was not only for our team, coaches, town, fans, but for all the players who have played their hearts out and just didn't make it. This win was for the family! To the Sinton Pirates and coach Gene Kasprzyk, I can not say how much I respect you and your program. When I took this job back in 1989, I wanted it to be like yours — where our kids and fans could experience victory at the biggest stages in 3-A baseball. To our fans get ready to rock and roll and support this team for another shot at a state title. To our Jerseys, we are 3/4 of the way there, enjoy it and make the best of it cause as we know these opportunities don't come everyday. Congratulations!
