Comments: In front of 5100 fans the state of Texas saw a great game by two great teams. Unfortunately for the green team we made 1 critical error that led to a go ahead run. Jason Garcia pitched his heart out and giving up only 4 hits in the state championship is not bad at all. We had an opportuntity in the 2nd and didn't come through and then again in the 3rd ,6th and 7th. You can not leave runners in scoring position and expect to win. Let's give their pitchers credit because they made some critical pitches in the game. This game could of gone either way but tonight it belonged to them. Our kids have nothing to be ashamed of. They were one of the two last teams standing in class 3A after 192 teams started the year. They hung in there to the last out of 2006 season. We got a lot to be proud of. Especially my four seniors. We thank you, Reese, Trey, Gilbert, and David for a great ride. You now have become the class with the most wins at 104. Most trips to the regional finals and a trip to Round Rock. This class of kids have shown a tremendous amount of pride, class, determination, and a desire to win. I will never forget what you did for your teammates, school, city, district 31-3A, and Region IV. You now go into the history books of Jersey Baseball as one of the most successful classes in this schools history. To my underclassmen, next year is only 6 months away. On the way home this great staff of mine was already planning for next year. With 6 starters back that include 2 starting pitchers, next year will be one to look forward to. To the Jersey Nation, we thank you because you really are our 10th man. You have helped me encourage these kids to never give up. You have made us so proud to call you our fans. Round Rock, Texas got to see what I have told the UIL directors and that is that there are no better fans in the state than our Jersey fans. To Mr. Pulido, I thank you again for this great web site. The site seems to get better every year. It seems that we just started yesterday and now tomorrow there will be no more Jersey Baseball. But don't worry, just like the sun will rise tomorrow, Jersey Baseball will always rise to the top. Well, sport fans — until next year. Keep 'em swinging and make sure they touch 'em all!

Congratulations Falfurrias Fightin' Jerseys — 2006 State Runner Up!
