Comments: This game had a playoff atmosphere. Sharyland the number 2 team in the state in class 5A playing Falfurrias the number 9 team in class 3A. This game had a little bit of everything. In the end we made too many errors and did not get the big hits when we had runners in scoring position. This game gave us a good measuring stick on what we can do against a good team and what we need to work on to prevent failure. All in all it was a good experience. Our next warmup game will be against George West on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. We will face either Pearsall or Ingleside in the area playoffs next week.

Comments: Today we learned again about if you don't bring your A game to play any playoff team you lose. The George West pitchers did an outstanding job of making their pitches count and they got key hits and that is why they have been successful this year. We didn't play badly defensively but we made some mistakes on the mound and could not solve the George West pitchers. The good news is this was just a warm up game and there will be a tomorrow. Now next week against Ingleside, there will be no tomorrows if we don't bring the best stuff. Our area opponent will be Ingleside as they defeated Pearsall in two straight games. Game sites, dates, and time will be announced early Monday.
