Comments: Winning the first district game especially on the road was big. Mario Ramirez was perfect tonight with a no-hitter. Mario joins the list of past greats that have thrown no no's. We played well offensively and Mario took care of the defense. Well, tomorrow we travel to Texas A&M Kingsville to play Tuloso Midway in a non district game. All of this is in preparation for future playoff scenarios, when you got to play back to back days. As for our construction on our field, we are shooting for the first game on April 5th against Lyford.

Comments: This was a big win for our ball club. This gives us the inside track in the first half of district. We got going late in the game. My only concern tonight was leaving too many runners on base (14) can catch up to you and it almost did tonight. Jason pitched well and our defense did not make any errors. Well, we now travel to Raymondville for the first time in a long time.

Comments: We had our running shoes on tonight and stole 11 bases and Jason Garcia is 4 away from the record (33) held by Gabe Pulido in 2000. We got people on base and did just enough to score some runs. I still am concern about leaving too many on base. Mario pitched a good game and defensively we were perfect. We now play Lyford on Thursday for the last game of the first half.

Comments: We broke open a tight game in the 5th. Their pitcher did a good job of keeping us off stride but our kids adjusted and took advantage of several of their errors. We played 17 players tonight and they all contributed in one way or another. Well folks, the road warriors trips are over. Our kids have played in 22 straight games on the road and now look forward to their home opener Tuesday at beautiful renovated Jersey Field.

Comments: San Diego gave us more than we wanted tonight and what an opening night it was in our new stadium. The kids were a little uptight trying ot impress the locals and San Diego played a good game. Jason was dominating at times and inconsistent hitting his spots. We got to get our pitchers ready for the stretch run and these 10 day layoffs from pitching are not helping us. What a great crowd tonight, we had well over 500 tonight. Friday we host Freer and we hope to hit better and pitch better.

Comments: This game had a playoff feeling in it. There was a big crowd and with Zapata only one game back, this game had a lot riding on it. Zapata came to play tonight but our kids answered the bell. Jason was tough again and our defense made all the critical plays. After 3 very fustrating innings our hits fell in no-one's land and we took advantage of several of their errors. Well, all ends well tonight and our kids become district champs with two games to go and a two game lead. We clinched a piece of 1st tonight. Our kids will go for the whole title on Tuesday as we play Raymondville on parents night.

Comments: A perfect game! I can't remember if we have experienced one during our tenure here. Anyway, Ruben Cisneros was perfect tonight and he helped himself by making all the outs except two outs made by Mario Ramirez. We swung our bats better tonight and we also ran the bases extremely well. Now we go after an undefeated district season on Saturday night at 7:00. Congratulations Jerseys on another outright district title.

Comments: Tonight we honored 4 seniors for all they have done for us during their 4 years. Tonight this group won it's 100th game. This is only the second class to reach this milestone. Last year's bunch ended up with 104 wins. This bunch has reached the semi finals in 04, regional finals in 05 and the state finals in 06. Tonight they took care of an undefeated district season. We now await the winner of Mathis or Gonzalez for our area matchup. We do have a warmup game vs. Moody on Thursday at 7:00 p.m here at Jersey Field.
