Comments: After two weeks of waiting and practicing, we got to play our playoff game vs. Marion. As it would be, it got stopped in the 3rd due to rain and continued the next day 180 miles south at Riviera HS. We made the most out of two hits a couple of walks and an error to jump on them with 3. They came back with one in the second. At Riviera we stayed disciplined at the plate understanding the umpire had a tight strike zone. We capitalized on 9 walks and Chris did not allow too much damage with his 7 walks. This Marion team was a strong hitting team but our defense made some plays on some hard hit balls. Chris pitched with a huge heart and JD continues to be clutch with runners on base. I have a lot of respect for this Marion team. They were well coached by a classy man, Jason Fox. Well, we now get ready for our south Texas rivals the Bishop Badgers. This should be a great series. Our kids have been competing against each other since Little League. There will be a lot of pride on the line.
