Comments: The start of the 2014 season started off with a bang. Our kids played their hearts out and just came out short on beating a tough valley 5a. Daniel pitched a great game and we came a play at the plate from winning or tying the game. We now must get ready to face Moody.

Comments: After a tough lost to PSJA earlier this morning we didn’t have time to feel sorry for ourselves. We started strong but Abel got figured out and a great Moody team showed why they are ranked #1 in 4a. I was proud of our kids and the way they completed but we just couldn’t match their firepower.

Comments: This game was quite the wakeup call. Houston woke up with their hitting shoes on. It didn’t matter what we threw, they had a great hitting team. Our kids continue to fight till the end. I can’t complain about their efforts, we just were again overmatched. We now got to somehow get ready for the #5 ranked team in 5a the Laredo Alexander Bulldogs.

Comments: This game presented our kids with quite a challenge but I give my kids credit they battled till time ran out. I felt like if we could of gone the 7 innings the outcome could of being different. Nic pitched a great game against a top notch team. Our bats started to come around and we continue to play good defense.

Comments: This was the fifth game of the tourney and a win this group so desperately needed. They had fought hard all weekend and finally we put one together. So we leave the Border Olympics with a win, which is something we have done every year since the first one in 1992

Comments: We came out strong on our first at bat but they responded like any good team would. Abel didn’t have his best stuff and our offense couldn’t keep pace with the Mustangs. These are all good challenges that our kids are facing. The goal is for it topay off in district.

Comments: This game was one we need to learn from and also forget. The game had its controversy with the time limit being changed from 2 hrs. to 1:50 with us coming to bat. The bottom line is we should of never been in this situation had we just played Jersey baseball. This was a tough emotional lost after battling two tough 5a schools.

Comments: Well all I can say is this game kind of capped off the roll we are on. It just seems we can’t shake off this ugliness. I give St. Joe credit they played errorless ball and took everything we gave them. We rallied late but like the way things are going it was too late. We got to get this ship turned around before Tuesday’s district opener.

Comments: This game got us off to a great start to our tournament. Abel pitched well and we hit the ball good enough for an opening game win. We got 16 teams in this tournament and an early win to put us in the right bracket. We got a lot of baseball to play over the next three days.

Comments: This game had the most excitement we have had in a long time. Our JV gave us a good game. They played hard and with pride. It ended been a little league rematch. It was so much fun. We got to see that there is fine line that separates the varsity from the JV.

Comments: Well I would be lying if I didn’t say we want the rematch with La Feria. We wanted toerase the ugly game we played last week at La Feria in which they beat us 5-6. Daniel had a good outing and we got enough offense to get the job done. The win puts us in the championship against Rio Hondo.

Comments: This game had sprinng break all over it. We were not into this game as we should have been and West Oso was. They have a great hitting team and Daniel was not his normal self. This was one of our most sloppy and unemotional games we played this year. This group needs to figure out how to show up every time and bring their A game. As they have found out today, every one we play is going to bring their A game and more because who they represent.

Comments: This game gave us more than we bargained for. Progreso played a great game and gave us some pressure preparation we can use for future games. Booby pitched a great four innings and ran out of gas in the 5th. We brought in Abel in to close it out. We now get ready to face the Riviera Seahawks.
