Comments: We didn't like the way this one started but our kids character stood out tonight. They never gave up and they fought to tie it and take the lead for good. We had our hitting shoes on tonight we a team high 22 hits. Saul Alegria went the distance and pitched a great game tonight. I hope this win will carry us on through the schedule. We have been improving and playing more as a team. We got Riviera for a non district game on Friday since we are open in the district schedule. (next game is non-district)

Comments: What a game! Nobody wanted to lose. Our kids never gave up and put together another 7th inning rally with Ryan Regalado slicing a base hit to right and Chris Lopez beating out the throw at the plate. Saul did a good job without his best stuff and Robert has been clutch all year long. This puts us at 2-0 in district and gives us a 4 game winning streak. We now prepare for Raymondville on Friday.

Comments: Our kids are starting to play a lot better. Kids are settling in on their roles and we continue to hit the ball well. Robert did another great job tonight. We now go on the road to Lyford for the last game of the 1st half. It's been a long road but we finally reached the winning point in our record. Give credit to these kids who had to take alot this year. We knew it would be different and we were going to take baby steps forward but now we are starting to walk a little faster toward a winning season and possibly another district championship.

Comments: What a offense output by both clubs. A game that took over 3 hrs. and over 30 hits by both teams finally came to an end for the good guys. Our kids showed alot of character. Winning on the road is not easy and we couldn't adjust to how the umpire wanted us to pitch. In the end, Saul did an outstanding job of pitching and our kids made all runs count. Well, we finished the first half at 4-0 and start the second half Friday against San Diego in what is scheduled as teacher appreciation night. This team is really playing as a team now. Kids are responding to their roles and executing the game plan. Well, great 1st half now let's go get the second half

Comments: This game did not take off the way we wanted it to but our kids have been responding with alot of character. Robert did not have his best stuff but found a way to win the game. Our kids took advantage of several San Diego errors and we hit some key hits in the 4th. Our kids showed our team speed as we took every extra base we could and that was the difference in the game. We now face Freer in a non-district game on Tuesday before we go to Zapata for the biggest game of the year.

Comments: Congratulations to our kids for playing a great game in all phases and most importantly winning district. Saul did an outstanding job and we got key hits all night. This team has come a long way. They have lost teammates to discplinary reasons and grades and the survivors have kept the tradition going. We now have two games remaining and our goal was to go 8-0 in district and now that is the challenge at hand for us. Again congratulations on another district title our 6th in a row.

Comments: This game definitely meant more for Raymondville but our kids mustard enough to get the win. The win allows us to claim an outright district championship. The game provided us the opportunity to pitch 4 kids tonight. We made them pay for every miscue and then Saul came in to close the deal. We now play Lyford Saturday night at 7 on senior night. We also go for a perfect district record.

Comments: Tonight was senior night and we recognized Smiley, Chris, and Matt for their 4 years of Jersey baseball. This group has won 100 games in four years. It was a great night as we had a special guest in John Michael Cabrera. This special child realized his dream of playing baseball on Jersey Field. John took his bat and his mom pushed his wheel chair around the bases to the delight of John and a standing crowd. As for the game, Lyford gave us all we wanted in a must win for them, but tonight Saul was tough again and we scored early and just hung on for a perfect 8-0 district record. We now await the winner of Mathis and Palacios for our area match up. We plan on playing Odem for a warm up game sometime later this week due to taks testing. I've got to give our kids and coaches credit for all they have accomplished. We took a lot of baby steps and by the time we got to the second half of district these kids were in full stride and have a different sense of confidence which we will need going into the playoffs.
