Comments: This game was all I expected. It was a very exciting game against a much improved Hebbronville team. This night belonged to Daniel Arevalo who just dominated on the mound with 16 strikeouts and our defense played errorless. Winning a road district game is always critical especially at Hebbronville. We now get ready for the 20th annual Jersey Invitational tournament.

Comments: Our kids are starting to show some consistency and maturity as we very systematically took care of business tonight. We were disciplined at the plate, ran well, and got clutch hits. Abel was also very consistent with his pitches tonight. We now travel to West Oso for a non-district game against a good bear team.

Comments: Game 7 in 8 days got off to a slow start with Quest putting two on the board in the first. I felt that woke up our kids and then they executed well offensively. Lorenzo struggled early and then found the strike zone. Albert came in to get some work and threw the ball well. Our young kids got an opportunity today to start and they made the most of it. I am really pleased with how this team is playing right now. They had 7 games in 8 days and are riding an 8 game winning streak. We now get ready for a tough week of district play with Santa Rosa and Bishop on the schedule.

Comments: Here we go again with another Santa Rosa /Fal game that comes down to one run. This game was a wild roller coaster ride with SR taking the lead, we bounced back, and then they capitalized on our mistakes. We then made use all several walks and then a key hit to take the lead. Daniel started off a little rough and then settled down to take control of the game. This was a big home win, we now get ready for Bishop.

Comments: Tonight we had a lot questions answered about our team. We have come a long way and have gotten better but we just were not good enough to beat Bishop tonight. We just did not hit Rubio as well as we wanted to and Abel pitched a good game after the first inning nerves. All in all, I was pleased with our defense and pitching. We just felt short on our hitting approach. We are looking forward to the rematch as this team matures and continues to get better.

Comments: Tonight was a bittersweet victory. I was really proud of how our kids continued to play with a passion. Daniel pitched well again and we used our hits and aggressive running to help out offensively. Our defense continues to be solid. Well, tonight we said goodbye to Coach Rios our AD. He has been great to me and our program. He helped me coach our young ones, helped me get what we needed and was always around during all baseball games. I will miss him because he gave me so much freedom to do my job and not worry about all the little things outside the team. Best of luck Coach Rios, thanks for helping us continue the Jersey Baseball tradition.

Comments: After a long week of testing it was great to come out and play some baseball. Our kids came out and played with a lot of passion and capitalize on all that was given. Daniel pitched his good game and our defense was tremendous again especially our outfield play. We now turn around and go to Kingsville tomorrow for a 4 pm game with Academy.

Comments: This game ended being more than we had bargined for. Academy hung in there tough and gave us fits. Abel was not as sharp as he has been and our defense played sluggish. But our kids hit the ball hard and scored more runs than they did. We now get ready to play Quest on Tuesday which is also parents night.

Comments: Well, tonight our kids just overmatched a young Quest team. Lorenzo and Gavino combined for a no-no and our offense got some good swings tonight. We now get ready for our third encounter with Santa Rosa. Game has been moved to Saturday because of district track.

Comments: We started flat in this game and Santa Rosa came out swinging. We settled in the fourth and didn't look back. Daniel pitched well tonight and our kid's hard work in the batting cages has paid off. I wasn't very happy with our defense and base running but that had to do with our lack of energy early in the game. Well this clinches another playoff spot for our program, if I am not mistaken it is our 21st time in 25 years. We now must switch our attention to the Bishop game for a chance at a district title. Game time is 8 pm Tuesday at Jersey Field.

Comments: What was expected to be a great rematch turned south real quick. Our young players got reeducated on the basics of winning a baseball game. These are playing defense, throwing strikes, and getting on base. We have come a long way from day one and have a ways to go this year. This young team has so much potential that it is exciting thinking about how much we can get better in the next three weeks before the playoffs start. We now get ready to play Raymondville in a non-district game this Friday.

Comments: Our kids wanted the 20 wins really bad and it showed tonight. We had our hitting shoes on tonight and Daniel pitched his normal good game. Our defense was a little shaky to start but we got it together and played solid the rest of the game. This marks the 16th team to win 20 in a season and this is quite an accomplishment for this young team. We now get ready for a lot of fun with our alumni and senior night.
